Ranger appointed at Intermec

Intermec has appointed Chris Ranger as the new senior director service & support EMEA. Ranger will drive the “Intermec Services business across the region with core focus on growing service and support offerings, service presence in remote locations, service consistency across EMEA and Intermec Service Partner strategies”, the company said.

He will report to Bill Pratt, Intermec vice president of global service operations.

“Chris has accomplished excellent results in our marketplace,” said Pratt. “I’m confident that his leadership experience and the strong services sales and general management skills he brings to the team will result in great success as he works to grow our already strong market position and further enhance our Service and Support business and relationships with both customers and partners across EMEA.”

Ranger comes to Intermec with more than 20 years of executive leadership experience in the high-technology industry having held senior services positions at companies including Stratus Technologies, Siemens and Colt Telecom.

Most recently he was head of services sales for EMEA at Motorola Enterprise Mobility Solutions (formerly Symbol Technologies).

“I’m extremely excited about the services growth opportunity for Intermec across EMEA,” said Ranger.  “I’ve closely followed the company’s progress and believe the unique combination of its class leading products and services, innovative people, robust channels and deep industry expertise offers huge potential.

“I look forward to providing a fresh perspective and delivering even stronger results for Intermec in the future. Key to this will be even deeper engagement with both our partners and customers which will help us to deliver even more compelling services and support to them,” he added.

Intermec is sponsoring the World Mail & Express Europe Conference in Brussels next month, as well as the Technology Award at the World Mail Awards.
