Deutsche Post likely to be banned from aquiring the majority of Trans-o-flex

The German federal cartel office is ‘very likely’ to ban Deutsche Post AG from acquiring the majority of the express service company Trans-o-flex (Tof). The case, which is expected to be closed by November, will probably also involve a ban on the acquisition of a 24.8% share. Negotiations are taking place with the post and the majority shareholder, Bayerische Landesbank, with the aim of reducing Deutsche Post’s influence to a reasonable minimum and to ensure the operative independence of Tof.”
