Al-Soudani promoted at GLS Germany

GLS Germany has announced the addition of Saad Al-Soudani to its top managerial team. The operator said that Al-Soudani will be CEO for business sales and marketing, and will join Klaus Conrad and Rüdiger Schmahl at the company’s top table.

The 46-year old joined GLS in 1993 as assistant to the director of international services, before holding a number of different managerial positions throughout the group.

The company states that as managing director international, Al-Soudani was “instrumental” in building GLS’s European network, a position he will continue to fill.

“For Germany, as an exporting nation, the cross-border shipment of goods is of outstanding importance,” said Rico Back, CEO of GLS, Amsterdam.

Back added that with Al-Soudani on board, GLS will be able to link closely with its other national companies and international partners.
