Deutsche Post share in DHL International Ltd. now at 25 per cent
22nd September 1998

The share of Deutsche Post in the express company DHL International Ltd. was increased to 25,001 per cent from 22,5 per cent according to schedule. Deutsche Post has thus exercised an option which was part of the agreements concluded in March this year to acquire participating interests. The logistics company now holds the same interests in DHL International as Lufthansa Cargo AG and Japan Airlines (JAL).

This increase will not trigger any changes in the composition of the DHL boards, since Deutsche Post has already been represented here on equal terms with Lufthansa Cargo and JAL.
