Emirates Post enters billing partnership with du
UAE national postal operator Emirates Post has entered a partnership with telecommunications firm ‘du’ to provide billing services throughout the country’s post offices. Customers of du will now be able to make bill payments at any of Emirates Post’s 120 branches.
Commenting on the news, Abdulla M. Alasham, CEO of Emirates Post, said: “Emirates Post is delighted to add du services to its bouquet of services at Post Offices.
“As a rapidly growing telecom company, du has achieved remarkable growth in just a few years, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and offering value-for-money services.
“We are delighted to enter into a partnership with du and we are confident this relationship will help du to enhance its reach because of our extensive network of 120 post offices located across the country.”
The retail agreement was signed between Ibrahim Bin Karam, chief commercial officer, Emirates Post Group, and Farid Faraidooni, chief commercial officer, du.
Across the UAE, du offers fixed and mobile telephony, broadband connectivity and IPTV services to individuals and businesses. As of March 2011, the company reported it had more than 4.5m customers.
Faraidooni said: “We are delighted to sign this agreement with Emirates Post. Now our customers have a convenient new avenue to pay their bills and find out more about our services. In essence, we are now further closer to our customers.”
This latest move further illustrates Emirates Post commitment to playing a key role in technological development across the region. Earlier this year, the operator was the host sponsor of PosTech 2011, held in Dubai.
