Esker hybrid service offers next-day worldwide mail delivery

Document software and service company Esker has launched a new international hybrid mail service it says can achieve next-day worldwide mail delivery. The service allows customers to send documents across the world electronically, for local printing and entry into the local mailstream.

Esker, which has headquarters in Lyon, France, and in Madison, Wisconsin, has printing facilities in France, Spain, Belgium, the UK, the US, Australia and Singapore.

It said the new “on-demand mail” service could guarantee mail delivery by local postal services within 24 hours of documents being generated.

The company said its new offering could cut mail production costs by up to 45% through its localised printing and insertion process, along with as much as 50% of postage costs.

The service also means “significant” reduction in delivery times for sending mail, Esker said, along with a decreased carbon footprint.

Esker claims more than 80,000 customers using its software, and around 675 large business mailers using its mail facilities.

The new service sees it working with postal service partners including Australia Post, bpost, Correos, La Poste, Royal Mail, Singapore Post, Swiss Post, TNT and the US Postal Service.

Jean-Michel Bérard, CEO and President of the Board of Directors at Esker, said: “The new international element delivers additional advantages to companies, enabling them to further increase processing speed while reducing costs and mail delivery times.”

“Esker is the first to offer a network of production facilities directly connected to ERP, CRM and business applications. We are seeing an increased interest from the market and anticipate our newest offer to attract many new customers,” added Bérard.
