La Poste’s number two quits to join Crédit Agricole

La Poste’s deputy CEO and CFO Bernard Delpit has announced he will be leaving the French operator this summer.  Delpit will be joining Crédit Agricole as of 29 August 2011 as group finance director.

He will replace Bertrand Badré, who will continue with his career outside the Crédit Agricole Group, after four years service during the financial crisis.

Delpit began his career in 1990 at the French Treasury. Until 2000, he held a variety of positions within the budget department of the Ministry of the Economy and Finance. In 2000, he moved to PSA Peugeot Citroën, where from 2001 he was deputy CEO of Dong Feng Peugeot Citroën Automobiles (China), before being appointed head of budget control at the PSA Peugeot Citroën Group in 2004.

Delpit joined the cabinet of the French President in May 2007 as advisor for public finances and taxation, and then as economic advisor.

Since June 2009, he has been Deputy CEO and CFO of the La Poste Group.

Delpit holds a degree in law and is a graduate of the Institut d’Etudes Politiques in Paris, also studying at the Ecole Nationale d’Administration.
