Gerry Power appointed managing director at TNT India

TNT Malaysia and Brunei managing director Gerry Power has been appointed as managing director of TNT India. TNT Malaysia said Power would be responsible for all TNT Express services in the Indian subcontinent.

Power has now been with TNT since 1985, when he joined the company in London and took a number of senior management positions in the UK, Amsterdam and in Asia, where he became operations director of Asia and managing director for TNT in Vietnam and Indochina before being appointed managing director of TNT Malaysia in April 2005.

TNT Malaysia said in a statement that its new managing director was yet to be announced.

As well as his role at TNT Malaysia, Power is the current vice president of the Asia Pacific Carriers organisation CAPEC for Malaysia.
