Pitney Bowes launches insert system for mid-volume mailers

Pitney Bowes has launched a new inserting system for medium-sized transactional mailers to process their letters and flats. The Rival Productivity Series makes use of the same technology as the US company’s Productivity Series mail finishing platform, but with a smaller footprint aimed at mid-volume mailers.

Pitney said the new system will provide consistent operations during peak mail cycles, processing up to 12,000 documents an hour.

It has “advanced” scanning features to help track each mailpiece for accurate processing, an automated fold capability and an “intuitive” interface that allows operators to quickly set up their mailing tasks.

Grant Miller, vice president for global strategic product management and North American sales, and Document Messaging Technologies at Pitney Bowes, said the new system’s smaller footprint would help mid-volume transactional mailers increase efficiency and save on costs.

But he added: “Mailers can configure the scalable system to meet current mail finishing needs and future requirements as their organizations grow.”
