Crouse to lead Pitney Bowes American SME business
Pitney Bowes, Inc., (PB) has appointed a former Stamps.com executive to lead the growth of its business with small and medium-sized companies in North America.
Jeff Crouse spent seven years in a senior role at the US online postage specialist, but prior to his appointment at PB was most recently at lead generation software firm Leads360. As vice president and general manager for small and medium business at PB’s North America Mailing division, Crouse will lead efforts to grow the company’s customer base while retaining existing clients, particularly for the pbSmart suite of cloud-based communications software.
“Jef Crouse’s extensive experience in digital marketing and integrated multi-channel marketing campaigns will be a tremendous asset in leading the growth of our overall SMB business in North America,” said PB’s North America Mailing president Patrick Brand.
Mait Sooaru appointed to Estonian Post board
Estonian Post’s new board member, Mait Sooaru
Estonian Post has elected former Itella Information Estonia chief executive Mait Sooaru as a new board member.
Sooaru has spent the last three years as product manager at Finland Itella iBilling, developing global products and managing their entry into new markets.
Meelis Atonen, the chairman of Estonian Post’s council, said: “The decision in favour of Sooaru was made considering his previous work experience in info-logistics and the mail industry, and innovative vision of the future of Estonian Post.”
Sooaru, who takes up the new position on March 5, said he believes Estonian Post is now well placed to expand internationally. “Moreover, I believe Estonian Post should promote e-services more vigorously in order to provide innovative solutions both in Estonia and beyond,” he said.
DHL Express appoints Geoff Walsh as Saudi Arabia manager
DHL Express has promoted its Middle East road network manager Geoff Walsh to manage its operations in Saudi Arabia.
Walsh, who joined DHL Express more than 15 years ago, takes over as Saudi Arabia country manager from Nour Suliman, who was promoted to chief executive for Middle East and North Africa last summer.
Suliman said Walsh’s appointment would play a “critical role” in strengthening his company’s relationships. “There are huge opportunities in front of us which require us to be flexible, knowledgeable and quick off the mark, and that requires a constant quest for the best way to do business in this extremely competitive industry,” said Suliman.
Malta Post appoints Daniel Grech chief commercial officer
Malta Post said today it has appointed Daniel Grech as its new chief commercial officer, taking effect from May 7, 2012.
The company said Grech has been business marketing manager with Vodafone Malta since June 2010, and previously held the role of consumer marketing manager. The new Malta Post CCO has a masters degree in engineering management from Brunel University in the UK.
The appointment means the senior management team of Malta Post will comprise of CEO Joseph Gafa, CFO Carmen Ellul, CCO Daniel Grech and COO Pierre Montebello from May 7.
