DHL simplifies online access to services through MyDHL portal
DHL has launched a new Internet portal that seeks to simplify the shipping process for its customers around the world. MyDHL is now available in more than 40 countries, and will be rolled out to further markets over the coming year, according to the German logistics giant.
WIth a single login, customers can access a range of DHL shipping tools, making importing and exporting easier and offering useful resources to help small and medium-sized businesses expand internationally.
Users can manage their contacts, schedule pickups, track packages and carry out other shipping task with fewer clicks and passwords to remember, DHL said.
The company, which launched a similar portal for German parcels customers in April, said MyDHL includes the WebShipping online labeling, pickup scheduling and tracking platform.
For DHL Express customers it also includes the ProView tracking and notification service and the Import Express Online online shipping tool.
David Neumann, head of ecommerce at DHL Express Europe, said the new portal as a “perfect virtual extension” of a customer’s shipping department.
“By making the full suite of DHL web shipping tools available in one location with easy access, we hope to simplify our customers’ lives and to ensure they have the whole world at their fingertips,” said Neumann.
Great Ideea but what is going to happen when the interface between managers and clients , will not be respected by other departments?
