GeoPost UK hub opens

La Poste Group Chairman Martin Vial has opened a new GeoPost UK hub in Birmingham. The new facilities cover 50,000 sq m and represent an investment of £15m.
Mr Vial said that: market and client internationalisation obliges the French Post Office to invest, modernise and develop their activities to become an opeator of international benchmark status.
GeoPost UK is made up of Parceline, Interlink Express and Interlink Ireland, and is wholly owned by La Poste Group. It was created last year following La Postes buyout of Mayne Nickless Europe.
For Mr Vial: The acquisition of Interlink and Parceline, a controlling share in DPD, access to the worldwide network of the integrator Fedex Express, and the preparation of new agreements with other European post offices bear witnexx to the creation of an international multbusiness group that currently transacts over 10% of its business abroad.
