Parisi: "Poste's monopoly is unacceptable"

Stefano Parisi, general manager of Italian employers’ association Confindustria, has said that it is unacceptable that Italian postal service Poste is still enjoying a monopoly of the sector. He also said that the postal service and the banking sector operate in a protected environment.

Poste presented its business plan which includes the write-off of losses in the second-half of 2002. As a consequence, the group will close the current financial year in the black.
