DHL Worldwide Express awarded for service at Asian Freight Awards
Mr. Charles Longley, Chief Executive Officer of DHL Asia-Pacific said, “We are very proud of these achievements. It truly gives recognition of our success and I would like to thank my colleagues throughout the region for their hard work and commitment.”
“Despite our success, we will continue to develop innovative solutions in response to our customers’ needs, striving to improve our service and be able to meet all our customers’ shipment and distribution needs.”
Mr. Longley continued, “For instance, we have recently launched the New Asian Airline Network, a dedicated freight service between Bangkok, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur and Penang. This new flight routing not only gives DHL a clear advantage over other air express carriers and commercial airlines, it also gives our Bangkocustomer an expanded range of services.”
The awards were presented to winners at ceremony held at the Hilton Singapore, on 14 March 2002. Receiving the awards on behalf of DHL, Mr. Bryan Jamison, Area Director for Southeast Asia said, “Winning these industry accolades are rewarding in themselves. Winning them for 16 years in a row is a stellar achievement!”
The Asian Freight Industry Awards is organised by Cargonews Asia. The awards are given in recognition of excellence in overall performance in thirty-seven categories by industry peers and customers through individual ballots that were sent to Cargonews Asia readers.
