New Look awards contract to P&O Trans European

New Look ,fashion retailer, has appointed P&O Trans European to strengthen and expand its supply chain operations. In addition to providing warehousing and transhipment faciliteis, P&O will work closely with New Look to further develop the new logistics strategy that will realise the companys ambitious plan to grow its existing network of 485 stores across the UK.
Central to the contract, operation of which commenced in September this year, is P&Os new multi-modal logistics centre in Doncaster. The recently opened facility will provide flexible warehousing capacity capable of meeting seasonal fluctuations in demand for New Looks footwear and fashion accessories ranges. The operation will process 6.5million units from a stockholding base of 6,000 pallet spakces, employing 250 people at peak.
