Pallet profit

Small and medium sized hauliers are going to find it increasingly difficult to make a profit without being part of apallet distribution network. That is the opinion of Palletline md Steve Hayward, who backs up his warning with hard facts: one pallet network member has managed to produce a return-on-sales figure of 7.5% compared with an industry average of about 2%.
Another benefit is the access to group buying power, which has helped another company reduce its fuel bill by £12,000 a year. “Palletised freight is the fastest growing part of distribution in the UK today today,“ says Hayward.
