PostNL takes over mailing and fulfillment business
Dutch postal service PostNL is taking over most of the troubled e-commerce services company PinBizz. PostNL’s printing and mailing subsidiary Euro Mail will be taking over the bulk of the services of PinBizz, which provides order fulfillment, storage and logistics services for online retailers in various sectors, including marketing solutions like direct mail printing and inserting.
PinBizz, which was founded in 2002, counts Reed Business Media among its biggest customers, but has encountered financial difficulties as a result of declining sales.
PostNL said it will integrate the activities of PinBizz into its Euro Mail offices in Bleiswijk, Apeldoom and Den Bosch, with Euro Mail employees taking over the business operations.
The company said: “The take over of PinBizz fits well in the activities of Euro Mail in the field of printing and preparation, processing and dispatch of mail solutions.”
Euro Mail said the PinBizz business closed last week, transferring a “great deal” of business in the field of direct mail and fulfillment to the PostNL subsidiary. The company said it would invest in continuing the processes, systems and services from the bankrupt company.
“The expertise of PinBizz will be secured because the two former owners are now employed by Euro Mail, the firm said.
