Sovex on track for double digit growth

The Wirral-based company, which specialises in conveyor systems is on track for another double digit increase in turnover over the next 12 months. This will take revenues to c£25M. Longstanding customer UK Mail has kick-started that growth with a multimillion pound order placed at the start of the year.

During 2014, Sovex will be undergoing an IT infrastructure upgrade, making several internal promotions and hiring additional staff to meet the demands of the expanding business.

Newly appointed business development manager Rachel Price will be targeting the retail sector where Sovex already has customers, including TK Maxx.
Managing director Michele Dematteis said: “The year 2014 has all the ingredients to be Sovex’s best year in business. We have several very large orders on the horizon of which UK Mail is one. “

“We are heading into the new year with our sights set on expanding into the retail sector, lots of orders and a determination to succeed.”
Sovex has worked with UK Mail since 2006 and currently holds the servicing contract for its parcel handling equipment on all its sites.

The order, worth £2.36m, is for telescopic vehicle loaders, 8 of which are the Sovex Bendy Boom which provides access to standard trailers as well as vans below dock height.
