Jersey joins Post & Go
Jersey Post is the first Postal Administration to join Royal Mail Post & Go and will launch an exciting new product at Spring Stampex, London on 19 January 2014. Jersey Post & Go is the next generation of self-adhesive stamps overprinted with the postage on demand and powered by Royal Mail. It represents a new and very exciting way to begin or enhance a Jersey stamp collection and the first instalment of the series features the Jersey flag.
Speaking on behalf of Jersey Post, Sally Diamond said: “The first Royal Mail Post & Go stamps were introduced in 2008 and various designs have been introduced ever since. We have been working with Royal Mail over the past twelve months to introduce this new product to Jersey stamps and to offer something new and exciting to all collectors.”
Just like Royal Mail Post & Go stamps, Jersey Post & Go stamps carry unique identification numbers depending on the machine and session number of where and when they were issued. Jersey Post & Go stamps issued by the Jersey Philatelic Bureau for sets, Presentation Packs and First Day Covers are printed on a ‘B Series’ Back Office machine.
Miss Diamond explains: “We will launch Jersey Post & Go at Stampex in Islington, London between 19 and 22 February with a ‘J Series’ Post & Go machine. This is a unique opportunity to add a new and exciting product to any collection, especially for those who already collect Royal Mail Post & Go.”
