PostNord and Clas Ohlson form new partnership
Clas Ohlson has signed a long-term cooperation agreement with PostNord for Nordic retail distribution and deliveries from Clas Ohlson’s Nordic suppliers. PostNord will ensure efficient solutions that reduce Clas Ohlson’s carbon dioxide emissions. The new agreement between PostNord and Clas Ohlson for retail distribution and Nordic market deliveries represents a broadened, more in-depth collaboration between the parties. PostNord already manages goods distribution to Clas Ohlson’s 76 stores in Sweden and 30 stores in Finland. This collaboration is now being expanded to also cover distribution to the company’s 64 stores in Norway.
“We are proud to have Clas Ohlson’s continued and deepened trust. It is an acknowledgement of our strong offer in our Nordic home market. We will utilize our broad and in-depth logistics expertise in each market to ensure that Clas Ohlson has the best, most efficient Nordic solutions” says Håkan Ericsson, President & CEO of PostNord.
Under the new agreement, PostNord will also be responsible for deliveries from Nordic suppliers to Clas Ohlson’s central warehouse in Insjön.
“Our enhanced cooperation with PostNord enables us to make transport solutions more efficient. This is crucial for us, particularly as we grow. With this transport solution we will now be able to lower our carbon dioxide emissions, and this was a key criterion for the contract” says Klas Balkow, President & CEO of Clas Ohlson.
