SmartMail Services Opens Miami SmartCenter to Serve Florida Clients

SmartMail, LLC, a leading provider of flat mail and light parcel shipping services, is using its work-share partnership with the U.S. Postal Service to expand its national presence, giving Florida businesses up to 17 percent discounts off of First Class postal rates and up to 5 percent discounts off of Priority rates.
The company announced today the opening of its Miami SmartCenter, a 15,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art mail processing center, in Miramar.
The SmartCenter(TM), a technology-driven sorting facility, is capable of processing 120,000 pieces of flat mail per day. The facility uses its proprietary SmartTrack(TM) system to individually scan, weigh and track each piece of mail processed at the facility, resulting in expedited deliveries and cost savings for customers.
The new SmartCenter is strategically located between the Ft. Lauderdale and Miami airports and was chosen for its proximity to the core of SmartMail’s Florida customer base. This expansion will also extend the Delivery Network for existing SmartMail customers, enhancing the advantages received today. “Miami is the gateway to Latin America and is home to major pharmaceutical, tourism and product distribution centers. This SmartCenter opening is an important milestone in our national strategy to offer businesses `Perfect Mail’ delivery solutions that are cost-effective and customized at the same time,” said Jim Martell, CEO of SmartMail.

How SmartMail Works

SmartMail Services(R) has a work-share partnership with the USPS to deliver flat sized mail and lightweight parcels weighing approximately 3oz up to 5 pounds. By using its expedited services network, SmartMail is able to maximize delivery at a cost savings, while adding previously unavailable benefits including address verification, manifesting and tracking.
