TNT Express opens branch in North West Spain

TNT Express has opened a new branch in the Asturias region of north-west Spain. The new facility is located in the Espíritu Santo en Colloto area of Oviedo, offering 4,500 square metres of capacity serving 12 distribution routes.

Expectations are for the facility to handle 5,000 shipments a week initially, but double-digit growth is projected in the first year.

The company said its investment was a clear commitment to the north of Spain, strengthening its capacity and presence in the region.

TNT, which has 64 branches in Spain totaling 180,000 square metres of space, said opening its own facility in Asturias would mean even better service quality levels, using fleet vehicles with experienced drivers who know the needs of customers.

“Opening our own branch in Asturias, TNT will provide all its customers with many benefits, such as extended collection times and more delivery options for urgent import shipments. All shipments are traceable in real time through TNT’s own systems, taking control of goods and documents,” the company said.
