Wincanton has won a contract to operate a new national distribution centre for retailer Argos. Wincanton already manages transport contracts for three Argos regional centres, but the new contract is the first to include warehouse management.
The 236,000 sq ft distribution centre, based at Wolverhampton, will supply the whole national network of 525 Argos stores with 1,600 new lines. The site has 20,000 pallet locations in double deep racking.
