APC Overnight to create 140 jobs

The independent courier company, APC Overnight, has announced it will create 140 permanent positions at its national sortation centre in Cannock, Staffordshire by the end of September. Since opening its national sortation centre in June 2013 the company has created over 200 jobs and has seen turnover increase to over £88 million, more than a 17 per cent rise.

As one of the region’s biggest employers, APC overnight already has more than 430 staff, who work in a variety of departments.

Brett Kidson, human resources manager at APC Overnight, who first joined the company in 2001 as a warehouse operative, said: “All of the positions we are currently recruiting for are permanent. We’re looking for people that are interested in working with a growing company and staying with us for the long-term. As well as a basic salary we also run a performance related bonus scheme, so there are plenty of opportunities for people who want to work hard.

“And with 100 per cent of our junior managerial roles being recruited from within the business, there is room for progression for ambitious candidates.
