AusDoc wants to sell couriers

The Ausdoc document management group has begun talks to sell its core courier and mail businesses.
Ausdoc chairman Michael Butler said the talks involved the DX Express courier unit, the Australian Document Exchange, upon which the company was founded, and the GoMailroom management business.
Ausdoc is bundling the three units together as DX Group in order to sell them as one. As a result, Ausdoc will close a remaining unit, GoMail’s mail aggregation and sorting business. That unit aggregates business mail for bulk lodgement with Australia Post and has lost money since its beginning almost two years ago.
Mr Butler said the closure was unfortunate but necessary given “the legislative uncertainty surrounding further postal reform, the losses Ausdoc has incurred, and the lack of buyer interest”.
