New ‘InPost Direct’ service simplifies and speeds up parcel sending

InPost, the innovative send, collect and return parcel locker service has today announced the launch of InPost Direct – a simple and more convenient way for small business owners, entrepreneurs, online marketplace sellers and consumers to send parcels. InPost launches its InPost Direct service, designed to make sending parcels via its automated 24/7 locker network even easier and quicker for small businesses, online marketplace sellers and consumers.

Senders can use the service on a ‘pay as you go’ basis with no need for technology integration.

Bypass the queues this festive season – purchase and print your dispatch label from the comfort of your own home then scan and send at your local locker in just seconds.

Available in time for the busy Christmas shopping period and in response to users’ demand. People can now directly access InPost to send one or several parcels from their nearest locker location on a ‘pay as you go’ basis and without the need to integrate the solution into their existing web presence

Parcel senders simply visit inpostdirect.co.uk, enter the weight and size of their parcel, print off a label and attach it to their parcel. They then drop it off at their preferred locker where it will be collected, tracked and delivered directly to the door of friends, family or customers across the UK within 48 hours.

People who want to dispatch multiple parcels in one go can also make use of the ‘Parcel Manager’ function on the website. Rather than inputting parcel data and addresses separately into the system, senders can quickly upload an excel document, automatically enabling all labels to be generated at once. Online marketplace sellers also have the option to upload their parcel delivery data held on Amazon and eBay, making the process even more seamless.

Jonathan Smith, Chairman of InPost UK, said: “The launch of InPost Direct makes our 24/7/365 automated locker network, the largest of its kind in the UK, even quicker and more convenient to use. Ultimately, everyone wants a delivery service that offers flexibility, ease of use and gets parcels to their destination quickly and securely, particularly during the busy Christmas period. InPost Direct is an accessible, hassle-free, automated solution for people who don’t want to wait in a Post Office queue or wait in for a courier.

InPost’s 1000 fully automated lockers are conveniently located within five miles of 70% of UK postcodes. Lockers can be found at a variety of safe and secure locations including at Morrisons supermarkets, petrol stations, train stations and Transport for London sites, outside retailers such as Toys R Us and at local shops across the UK. What’s more, all of InPost’s lockers are accessible 24/7/365, meaning no more queues or waiting in, enabling consumers to collect and deliver items at their earliest convenience.
