La Poste invests in courier service company

France’s postal company, La Poste, bought 50 peccent of the stock in Masterlink, the polish company which specialises in courier solutions, tracking services, and shipping tools, in Poland, Scandinavia and Baltic States. Its strategic investor so far was Sweden’s Posten AB. The contract will raise Masterlink’s equity from ZL7.5m to ZL60m. The transaction makes Masterlink Europe’s second largest post and logistics group, giving it wide access to the state-of-the-art technologies and new markets, as a member of the Direct Parcel Distribution logistic network. The number one courier company in Europe is still Deutsche Post, which co-operates with DHL and Danzas.
