Indian last mile logistics provider and truck hire firm join forces

Diptab Ventures, the Bangalore-based company which runs last mile logistics provider LetsTransport.in, has reportedly bought fellow tech start-up Shifter. Launched in December 2014, Shifter runs a mini truck hiring service, and connects truck drivers and customers.

Customers hire the truck and the driver online or by phone and then either pay cash to the driver or use the payment link that will be sent to their mobile phones at the end of the trip t

There are a host of Indian start-up tech companies offering similar services, including Roppen Transportation Services Pvt Ltd, which owns a platform called theKarrier, and Resfeber Labs Pvt Ltd, which runs an online logistics marketplace called The Porter.
