MNX Global unveils new Amsterdam facility
MNX Global Logistics has opened a new Life Sciences logistics centre in Amsterdam. Located near to Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, the facility offers temperature-controlled supply chain capabilities and will serve as the operations and warehousing hub for Life Sciences and Medical Device customers throughout Europe.
“The demand for our services particularly in biologics, cold chain and medical devices logistics in the EMEA region has been tremendous and we have seen double digit growth in the past 12 months,” said Paul J. Martins, MNX CEO and President.
The new facility’s has a capacity of more than 1300 square metres, with the option to expand by an additional 1700 square metres when needed. The HACCP and GDP compliant facility was designed to exceed the highest standards in the handling and movement of critical biopharmaceutical, radiopharmaceutical and medical device shipments.
“The new Life Sciences Logistics Centre in Amsterdam allows us to provide cross docking, inventory storage and transportation for our clients needing temperature sensitive control,” said Jan Willem Van ‘t Riet, MNX Senior Vice President for EMEA. “In addition, our customers will benefit from our strict adherence to industry wide compliance procedures and protocols and our direct ramp access to personally deliver and retrieve critical shipments from the airlines that serve Amsterdam Airport Schiphol.”
