Amazon announces free standard delivery to UK pickup locations for all customers

Amazon has announced that all customers can now benefit from free standard delivery to any of its 13,000 UK Pickup Locations. Amazon Pickup Locations include rail, tube and petrol stations, newsagents and convenience stores, universities, libraries, business parks, an airport and Post Office branches.

In an official statement  isused yesterday (25 August), Amazon added: “Free Standard Delivery is now available on products sold or fulfilled by Amazon. To be eligible for this service, an order will include £10 or more of books, or £20 or more of products from any Amazon store. Prime members already qualify for One-Day Delivery to any Amazon Pickup Location at no extra cost as part of their membership benefits. With free Standard Delivery, orders will arrive one to two days after dispatch.”

As previously reported, the number of Amazon Pickup Locations now stands at more than 13,000 – more than double the number a year ago. These include more than 300 Amazon Lockers.

Customers can choose their preferred Pickup Location when they get to the checkout, and they receive a confirmation email when the parcel is ready for collection.
