Australia’s PACK & SEND reports profits increase
Australian couriering and logistics franchise PACK & SEND has reported the combined operating profit for the franchise network increased by 7% for its 2015 financial year, which ended in June. PACK & SEND added that domestic shipping volumes increased by 10.03%, while international shipments (including import and export) rose by 35.51%.
Michael Paul, CEO of PACK & SEND, attributed the positive results to the growth in e-commerce.
In its official statement regarding the FY2015 results, the company commented: “The growth shows no signs of slowing, with PACK & SEND recording its biggest month for sales revenue in the company’s history in July 2015. Such continued growth for PACK & SEND is supported by recent economic reports which show that online retail in Australia is continuing to boom.”
PACK & SEND added that it has recently launched the integration of its automated online self-service parcel delivery system (PowerSender) with the eBay website. The platform helps eBay sellers in calculating courier costs, listing and printing labels for international and domestic parcel shipments.
