California drone bill now on Governor’s Desk

SB142, the California State bill which aims to prohibit drones from flying less than 350 feet above a private property without consent from the owner, passed through the California State Senate last week and has now gone to Governor Jerry Brown for approval. As previously reported by Post&Parcel, the bill passed the California State Assembly Floor on a 56-13 vote on Monday (24 August). On Thursday, it also passed in the State Senate on a 21-10 vote.

The bill’s Senator Hannah-Beth Jackson said that the legislation will protect property owners’ right to privacy.
