Spring Global launches new postal service for perfume
Spring Global Mail has launched a new postal service for sending perfume from the UK to European destinations. The new service enable perfume to be send through either standard or priority post and Spring describes it as “an efficient and viable alternative to the current courier and express delivery services”.
The service applies to perfume with a maximum of 4 bottles of 150 ml per shipment.
Spring said that the service “simplifies” sending perfume internationally by providing customers the support of a Spring Sales Executive who guides them through what needs to be done to get their perfume processed, packaged and distributed correctly.
The service is a necessary one, Spring added, because perfume is classified as a “dangerous good” and its transportation is subject to some ” very complex” rules and regulations.
Spring explained how the system will work in practice: “Once the customer has the correct packaging and labelling, Spring can collect the goods through their UK national collection network and deliver it to various European destinations quickly and efficiently through Spring’s European road network.”
The company is offering seven destinations on priority post with delivery times within 3-5 working days: Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, and Switzerland.
Fifteen destinations are offered on standard post with delivery times within 7 -14 working days: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Norway, and Switzerland.
As previously reported by Post&Parcel, the new service for perfume shipments follows Spring’s announcement in July of a postal service for the delivery of lithium batteries (also classified as dangerous goods) from the UK to various European destinations.
