Wincanton butters up Dutch dairy co-operative

Wincanton has signed a three-year contract with Dutch dairy co-operative Campina for the storage and distribution of its products in the UK.
The contract will be serviced from Wincantons chilled shared-user operation at Brockworth near Gloucester. The fully automated site, which is set up to receive orders directly from retailers, will deliver Campinas range to the UKs major wholesalers, as well as receiving supplies from the manufacturing sites in Europe.
John Lee, Campina md, says “We were impressed by Wincantons automated warehousing which will enable us to react to our customers and achieve the service levels we are renowned for in continental Europe”
