Irish postal dispute update

Local sources report that industrial relations mediator Phil Flynn has put forward proposals aimed at resolving the industrial dispute which disrupted Irish postal services earlier this month. A report published by the Irish Times yesterday (14 October) said that the Communications Workers’ Union (CWU), which represents staff working for subcontractor IO Systems, is to recommend acceptance of the new proposals in a forthcoming ballot.
