Tesco trialling same-day click and collect grocery service

Tesco is trialling a same-day click and collect service for groceries in 200 UK stores. A Tesco spokesperson told Post&Parcel today (4 November): “We know customers really value the convenience of our Grocery Click and Collect service so we’ve been running a same day Click & Collect service in some of our stores to see what customers think of it. The service allows customers to place new orders until 1pm for collection from 4pm the same day, and is just one of the measures we’ve introduced to serve customers a little better every day.”

The spokesperson added: “We’re currently trialling different aspects of the scheme – the service is free in the majority of stores.”

The company started testing the service in a handful of stores earlier this year and expanded the trial to 200 stores in September.
