Postal outlets at petrol stations

POS Malaysia & Services Holdings Bhd hopes to set up between four and six postal outlets at Petronas petrol stations by the end of the year. Pos Malaysia, which signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Petronas Dagangan Bhd yesterday, said it has also agreed to explore the possibility of opening up to 30 such co-location outlets a year. “However, this target would be subject to further revision pending results of the site study,” Pos said in an announcement. “The joint business (between Pos Malaysia and Petronas Dagangan) includes extending Pos Malaysia’s last mile reach ability to the general public via co-location of outlets with Petronas retail stations,” it added. The MOU shall be valid for six months, but may be extended.
