Royal Mail wins Waterstones contract

Royal Mail has secured a three-year contract with bookseller Waterstones to handle delivery of all online purchases from Waterstones.com. Online purchases from Waterstones.com will be delivered through Royal Mail’s Tracked 24, Tracked 48 services and International services.

Royal Mail will deliver across the UK and to Waterstones’ customers in Europe and the rest of the world.

Waterstones.com gives customers access to the company’s entire catalogue of books, audio books, as well as a wide range of stationary and gifts.

Physical books are seeing resurgence in their popularity. Sales rose 3% in the first half of 2015 compared to the same period last year.

Royal Mail specialist IT solutions provider NetDespatch worked with Waterstones to provide a streamlined IT systems integration and labelling solution for all the orders.
