Romanian Mail raises fees for some of its services

Tariffs for unreserved internal and external postal services will increase starting October 1, in order to cover the influences resulted from the changes at consumption prices, exchange rate ROL /DST and the tariffs of operators on postal market, informs the National Company Romanian Post Office (CNPR).

Within internal services, the tariff for parcel delivery, for parcels up to one-kilogram weight, will increase from 2,500 lei to 3,000 lei, and for a registered letter- 5,000 lei, instead of 4,000 lei at present.

Service Par Avion for Europe will cost 5,000 lei, increasing by 1,000 lei, and for the other zones, 17,000 lei, instead of 15,000 lei at present.

Dispatching through Prioripost service, up to 100 grams weight will cost 17.000, increasing by 2.000 lei.

Romanian Post Office says that the tariffs for main postal services – simple mail, money orders, international money orders – will remain the same, as well as tariffs for EMS (Express Mail Service), SkyPak, e-Post, foreign parcel delivery and Par Avion. The latest increase of tariffs practiced by the national post operator took place on March 1 2002.
