IRONMAN opts for Borderfree

Sports brand IRONMAN has announced it is now using Borderfree’s global ecommerce software and international shipping services. IRONMAN will use the Borderfree system to offer its customers the opportunity buy apparel gear and accessories in over 40 currencies from more than 220 countries and territories around the world.

“With over 240,000 registered athletes representing more than 155 countries, it is imperative for us to be able to fully serve our global participants and their family and friends. Our collaboration with Borderfree is enabling us to reach more athletes and supporters around the world by offering a simple shopping experience on IRONMANSTORE.com,” said Jennifer Mocerino, President of Merchandise for IRONMAN.

Global customers can view their order total, including shipping fees, customs tariffs and taxes, at checkout. The total is guaranteed at the exchange rate set when orders are placed. Shoppers can choose to pay all duties and taxes upfront during the buying experience or upon delivery when they receive their purchased items.

Lila Snyder, President, Global Ecommerce with Pitney Bowes (the parent company of Borderfree), commented: “By simplifying the complexities associated with international ecommerce, we are helping this iconic sports brand create a global shopping experience consumers expect.”

Founded in 1978, IRONMAN started as a single race and has grown to an international sensation with more than 250 events in over 30 countries.
