Singapore Post & FedEx ally courier services

Drop off services will be provided at local post offices in Singapore under a tie-up between Singapore Post and FedEx Express (FedEx). According to Peter Yin, the regional vice-president for South Pacific of FedEx, the tie-up was initiated in view of growing demand for express courier service from small- and mid-sized companies in the republic. Prior to this, the drop off services have been launched on trial basis in the beginning of September 2002 at 11 branches in townships and the Central Business District (CBD). Subsequently, coverage of the services will be expanded to the entire chain of 63 post offices in Singapore by 2003.
