TNT India forays into logistics management

TNT India Ltd hopes to venture into the logistics segment to expand its express and mail services’ portfolio. It expects to earn 45 percent of its overall revenues from logistics and express services by 2007. The mail service is expected to contribute five percent to the revenues. TNT’s express business now accounts for 90 percent of its revenues. Of this, logistics and mail account for five percent each. TNT is a 100 percent subsidiary of TPG NV, Amsterdam.
