Whistl appoints Christine Key to lead Packets and Parcels expansion

UK-based postal operator Whistl has appointed home delivery specialist Christine Key to grow its Packets and Parcel division. Whistl currently handles 60m packets and parcels through its Downstream Access operation. The company said that the appointment of Key will “see it offer a new range of tracked and untracked services that are scalable and flexible and meet the needs of clients whether they are large multichannel retailers, eBay sellers or small independent boutiques”.

Whistl also intends to expand its services into the international arena.

Nick Wells, CEO of Whistl, said: “Whistl is going from strength to strength with significant appointments to our strong management team. Christine will help us build our packets and parcels business by offering services to clients that they have been demanding we supply, which will be underpinned by our unrivalled account management team capability.”

Commenting on her new appointment, Christine Key, Director Packets and Parcels, said: “Whistl is a dynamic and evolving business always looking for different ways to meet the needs of current and new clients. I look forward to building upon that heritage with our new packets and parcels services that bring choice into clients supply chain, help them meet their customer demand and give them greater resilience through peak.”

Previous roles held by Key within the delivery sector include Sales Director at Yodel / Home Delivery Network, Sales Director DPD/ Geopost UK and Commercial Director at Parcelnet.
