Indian retailers tie up with Roadrunnr

Indian retailers Star Bazaar and Titan Eye Plus are tying up with Roadrunnr to offer their customers delivery services. Roadrunnr is now managing both express or same day deliveries for Star Bazaar.

Customers shop at the Star Bazaar outlet and leave the shipment at the customer service desk which is then delivered to their doorstep by Roadrunnr’s delivery boys.

Roadrunnr also handles scheduled deliveries for Star Bazaar for shipments more than 15kgs that are delivered using van services.

In this case, a van picks up multiple shipments and delivers them in slots to Star Bazaar customers.

Roadrunnr does both same day and scheduled deliveries for Star Bazaar for all their stores in Bengaluru and has also started delivering for them in Pune and Mumbai.

“We have tied up with Roadrunnr for store-to-home delivery across our stores in Bengaluru. Our objective is to build convenience for our customers and provide them a seamless shopping experience. Roadrunnr has been a reliable delivery partner and has enabled us to offer same day home delivery for food and grocery products including fresh fruits, vegetables and non-vegetarian items,” said a company spokesperson from Trent Hypermarket Ltd.

For Titan Eye Plus, Roadrunnr makes two kinds of deliveries: one from Titan stores to the factory and vice versa;  and the other for customers from the store to their doorstep.

Jagannath N – Divisional Manager, Titan Eye Plus, commented: “Roadrunnr’s dense network of delivery boys has enabled us to start delivering from our outlets to the customer’s doorstep with ease. The one-click hassle-free experience has been a driving factor in scaling our operations with them.”

Titan Eye Plus works with Roadrunnr in Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Mumbai and Pune.

Roadrunnr – which was was founded last year by Mohit Kumar and Arpit Dave who worked together at Flipkart – is one of India’s largest hyperlocal logistics companies, operating in 11 cities and making more than 35,000 deliveries per day.

The company works with more than 5000 merchants across India, including restaurants, food aggregators and other categories like pharmacies, laundries and florists. Roadrunnr offers same day deliveries for e-commerce companies and uses drivers on bikes, eco-bikes, cyclists and walkers to make deliveries.
