ParcelLock and Renz set to test package boxes in Hamburg

ParcelLock and manufacturer Erwin Renz are set to test new package boxes in Hamburg in July. As previously reported,  the delivery companies DPD, GLS and Hermes set up ParcelLock in 2015 to develop networks of package boxes which can receive parcels from all couriers (not just the three partners), as well as supermarkets and local stores.

The package boxes will people to take secure delivery of their parcels and e-commerce purchases, even when they are not at home.

When ParcelLock was formally launched in October, Castle Keeper was unveiled as the first package box manufacturer – and the companies said that “other manufacturers will follow”.
