NEXT looking to “improve” delivery service with parcel shop options

UK retailer NEXT, which announced today (24 March) that its latest annual group sales rose by 3% to £4.1bn, has revealed how it plans to strengthen its delivery services this year. In its annual statement, NEXT said: “Over the course of the year we will be working to improve our delivery service in two important ways:

·           By giving customers the option to collect and return goods through third party parcel shops (target rollout September 2016)

·           By narrowing the window of our home deliveries to a pre-advised two hour window (target rollout from December 2016).”

Both the initiatives seem to be in-line with the trends in the UK market, as consumers are keen on the extra convenience of tighter time windows, and vendor-neuter parcel shops are continuing to roll out across the country.
