Emirates parcel lockers launched

Emirates Post Group (EPG) is reportedly rolling out automated parcel lockers in locations across the UAE this month. Ibrahim Bin Karam, Chief Commercial Officer with EPG was quoted by a report published by Emirates 24/7 today (18 April) as saying: “The first kiosk will be installed in Abu Dhabi in the next two weeks, followed by additional machines in Dubai.

“Customers will be able to collect their parcels from their neighbourhood at their convenience. They will be notified when their parcel arrives and can opt to receive it either as a home delivery, or opt to receive it through the kiosk.”

The report also quoted the EPG CCO as saying that the number of locker terminals will be expanded to 20 by the end of this year, and to 40 by the end of 2017.
