New Chief Executive for IPC

Holger Winklbauer will succeed Herbert-Michael Zapf as the Chief Executive of the International Post Corporation (IPC). Zapf  is  stepping down after ten years in the role.

Commenting on his appointment, Winklbauer, who has served in a variety of roles in the logistics industry including CEO of DHL Global Forwarding in the Netherlands, said: “I am delighted to be assuming the leadership of IPC at this critical time for the postal industry. IPC has a vital role to play in supporting posts in their expansion into new growth areas – especially e-Commerce.

“The opportunity for IPC and its members is immense and I look forward to being part of the worldwide team that is delivering benefits for postal customers.”

Dag Mejdell, IPC’s Chairman, added: “We conducted a global and very thorough search for the new IPC CEO. Holger stood out in a very competitive field: he brings a successful track-record and great experience to the role. I have every confidence he will build upon IPC’s achievements and develop the company for the future. I would also like to pay tribute to Herbert-Michael who, over the past ten years, has positioned IPC as a respected partner for the postal sector”.
