“Broader remits” for Royal Mail senior executives

“Broader remits” for Royal Mail senior executives

Royal Mail has informed Post&Parcel that two of its most senior executives have been assigned broader remits.

Sue Whalley, Chief Operating Officer, will take on a broader remit which will include Royal Mail letters, including the MarketReach business.

Meanwhile, Rico Back will take up a role responsible for parcels globally. He will continue as CEO of GLS, but also his remit will extend to include Parcelforce Worldwide and Royal Mail parcels.

Both Whalley and Back will continue to report to Moya Greene.

“This is about increasing responsibility and accountability for some of our most senior executives,” said Royal Mail.

(There had been speculation in the UK press earlier this week about a potential new role for Back, which prompted Post&Parcel to seek clarification from Royal Mail.)
