Messaging app Line teams up with Lalamove for Bangkok on-demand delivery service

Messaging app provider Line has team up with Lalamove to launch a new on-demand delivery service in Bangkok. Called Line Man, the new service will deliver food and groceries as well as documents and parcels.

Line said that delivery service was part of its strategy to be “more than a chat app”.

Line Man will offer courier services through the Lalamove fleet of motorcycles, with cash payments. Consumers will be able to order food via restaurant database app, Wongnai.

Ariya Banomyong, Managing Director of Line Thailand, said: “Line Man aims to offer best quality lifestyle services and help businesses leverage digital tools to connect with consumers, and Lalamove, as a leading on-demand delivery service provider in Thailand, made them a natural choice for Line Man.”

Santit Jirawongkraisorn, Co-founder and Managing Director of Lalamove Thailand, added: “This year, we have been marketing our online delivery services primarily to small and medium sized businesses. The addition of Line Man will bring Lalamove’s high quality services that many businesses have enjoyed to general consumers.”
